Wii to Wii U Transfer ?

My boy just asked if its a good idea to do a Wii to Wii U transfer as the Wii is modded, good question I said but I dont know lol

Now does this transfer data like game saves or allow you to use the wii remotes and sensor bar without having to sync etc.

Is it safe to do this if the Wii is modded? Im glad he had the sense to ask and didn't just do it

nah all good after reading and watching some videos, decided against it
better off running 2 consoles
