Wii system update with Wiikey V1

Can anyone tell me if its ok to perform a Wii System Update on my Wii that has a original Wiikey fitted. I am running V4.2E firmware at the moment, and whenever i go to play Raving rabbids travel in time its asking to perform a Wii system update.

you would be better running the ios through wii update manager and setting the firmware to NONE then burning it again there is no reason to take any disc update ever

I'm on 2.2u and have wiikey 1 and whenever I put in Mario galaxy it prompts a system update. Is it okay to accept it? Or should I just update via wi fi or not update at all?
