how do i find out which drive i have ?

and is it correct that you only need to flash your 360 to play backups, mod chipping not required ?

have a look in the at the top of this page..there be some pics of different drives and you should see wich one you have...

as for only playin back ups yes thats all the flash doss...

open her up mate and see the stickers on the drive roud: and yeah...as partycan said, you only need to flash the drive to be able to play backups ...unless you get unlucky and get the hitachi v79...this will require of a passkey to enable you to be able to flash the drive. Even if you do get this drive though its not the end of the world as I'm sure xbc or oggy would perform the install for you
