whats your pc spec then?

Is that oc'd on air?

Probably 2x2.8Ghz. 5.6Ghz on air would need some serious fannage!

nice hard drive trancemaster, I'm after a Raptor, not sure to go for the size up tho' yet!!! bit pricey might stick with the 74gb one.

Thanks, best hard drive I ever bought. Installing Windows is like hot shit off a shovel! I would go with the 150Gb one if you can afford it (not the Raptor X though obviously) since it has larger cache and supports NCQ. As far as noise is concerned, my graphics card fan is louder.

Without wishing to show off :p I have four PC's - all desktops

Newest (in age order I guess) is a Pentium D 820 Dual Core @ 5.6Ghz with 2Gb RAM and 2 x 250Gb, 1 x 80Gb HS's and BFG OC 256Mb 7600GS Nvidia graphics hooked up to 32" Samsung LCD TV as a media server (soon to be main system!)
Next newest is an AMD Athlon XP3200+ with 1Gb RAM and 2 x 125Gb and BFG OC 256Mb 7600GS Nividia graphics hooked up to 19" Samsung WS LCD monitor.
Next is a dual 933Mhz P3 system with 1Gb RAM and 3 x 17Gb Hot swappable SCSI2 drives hooked up to an 18" Philips LCD monitor. Its a Fujitsu server that I got off fleabay for £26!!!!
Lastly an Intel Celeron 1300 with 512Mb RAM and 1 x 18Gb, 1 x 74Gb and 1 x 115 Gb HD's using onboard graphics hooked up to a ropey old HP 15" CRT.

Oddly, at present the Celeron system is used as a server!!! This will change at some point to the proper server (the Fujitsu).
Even more oddly - at present my main in use system is the AMD 3800+!!!

Dual core 3600 clocked at 2.6ghz
gig ram

That is all :)

New one I just got

Core 2 Duo E6600
Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 Motherboard
3 x 160GB SATAII @ Raid 0
Tagan TG800 PSU
2GB Geil 6400
Samsung 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer SATA Lightscribe ReWriter
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB
Antec 900 Case
Razer Tarantula Keyboard
Razor Copperhead Mouse
Samsung SM-226BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor
Bose Companion Speakers

Other one

AMD X2 4200+
Abit AN8 32x
1GB Mushkin Low lat Ram
40GB WD Raptor
400GB Seagate Baracuda
Audigy 2 ZS
Enermax 600W Noisetaker PSU
NEC 16x Dual layer DVD±RW
2 x 6800GT in SLI
19 CRT Monitor
Shitty Case

Only play CSS and tbh, the new is only slightly better than the amd. Not much diff in fps, the textures are better on the 8800GTS but I think I had the sli setup was just as good in fps (both cards have all detail set to max except vertical sync).

The sammy monitor was prolly the best buy. Its great.

Oh and the AMD system loads windows alot faster.....prolly cos of the raptor but i didn't think it would be by as much as the sata2 drives are in a raid 0 array.

i`m really curious how you have this 5.6ghz machine set up please

As someone stated earlier, its a dual core 2.8Ghz. And yes, it's air cooled. Runs at around 40deg idle, 50deg doing graphics intensive gameplay.

I've just bought yet another mobo / cpu / RAM combo. Its a Core 2 Duo E2160 1.8Ghz (ie 3.6Ghz total, but 2 CPU's on die rather than just two cores!)
I understand these can be overclocked quite easily at stock voltages. MOBO / CPU / 1Gb 533 RAM cost me £139.

it`s not @5.6ghz then as that would mean mine would be @ 8ghz and it just doesn`t work like that.
