Reet lads and lassies....need some help here:)

I am in the market for a Wireless Router with NAT and builtin Modem and Firewall.

What would you recommend??

cheers ta in advance

As long as you arent going to be broadcasting over any large distances, any one will do.

Personally I'd go with D-Link MH....
Put one of THESE in at my Mums...well impressed.
I run mostly D-Link at home, wireless access point, switch, hub & network cards..

Router

I always recommend a WRT54G

You can put Open Source Firmware on it that really opens up the box

Turns a £50 router to a £200 cisco Equivalent

Right Lads I have just purchased the netgear dg834gt....so it better be fecking good!!!

Or else.....away tto PC world to get it in a mo!!!

i have the wrk54g m8 which i know is a downgraded version of yours but will open source firmware work on mine and what are the benefits?

every person I have spoken to about that one, spend half their time resetting the thing

+1 for the Netgear DG834G
its rock solid reliable, offers good security and is dead easy to setup via the setup wizard
it also has a nifty web interface that makes changing your config a breeze

I use a lynksys wireless router. very reliable and not too expensive either.

rembember to encrypt it..

i got an old linksys befw11s4, gotta say its been ok, but you do have to reset the wireless pc connection now and again. very good over distance though.
