Here we go again....take this on board or reject it folks, but you won't be sorry to use it..
PI**ED OFF WITH WEBSITES CHANGING YOUR HOMEPAGE???
Here’s how to stop it……
START/RUN…..Type regedit….once it opens go to ;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte
rnetExplorer\Control Panel.
If any of these keys don’t exist you’ll have to put them in, here’s how…..Right click on the Microsoft and then select New Key…name it Internet Explorer(if you have Internet Explorer listed follow the next bit only)…..Right click on Internet Explorer…..click on New Key and name it Control Panel(press enter)….Right click on this new name(Control Panel), and pick New Dword….name this HomePage(put capitals in as typed here)(press Enter)…….Right click on Dword and click on modify…..enter the digit 1…….close your registry and this setting will prevent webpages from changing your homepage.
If you need to alter this in future, go back in and either delete this entry or change it to the digit 0(zero)…..this will allow you to change it yourself.
