W950i & TomTom

Hi all

Thinking of getting a SONY ERICSSON W950i and putting TomTom on it anybody done this yet.

Does it work ok???

Dont Know if its possible, but i know you need a symbain phone, i got myself a N73....

Couldnt see anything about the Sony or my N73 on the tomtom site, but i know it works on N73.... sorry cant be of more help

Hi ,
if you have a look at this page you will see that this phone is compatible with tomtom mobile 6.

all you need to find now is a GPS receiver to work with this phone.

Would appreciate it how you get on with Tomtom on your phone.My mate has asked me and i told him he couldnt so could be a bonus if it worked.He has the same phone.

i have working copies of tomtom6 for ericssons (symbian UIQ) and most nokias (Symbian s60)

hi mate

i have a w950i and have tom tom 6 working on it it works excellent

all you need to do is drag and drop all the files to the root of the memory card
best to use the flash memory coz of the size

use the fast transfer option dont use it in the supplied programme cd

just let windows find the phone and drag and drop all the files

then

disconnect the cable
and it should then automatically ask you to install the proggy

do that
then use the keygen to validate the maps for activation

easy peasy

if you get stuck or need hel

cheers for that just got the phone back as it was locked to '3' so its been unlocked and de-branded.

will probably have a go at the weekend.

Any chance yo can PM me with the address of the best place to download so I get a version that I know works.

no you do not need to unlock the phone this is just which network you are on

were was the sofware available from and which version have you installed?

what il do fellas over the weekend is find the working version and upload it to a host and post the link to it on here

also you dont need to unlock and debrand the phone for it to work

it works on any

it works like real tom tom coz of the touch screen
its ace


also if you dont mind me asking

how did you get it debranded
did you have to pay or did you do it yourself
