I had always thought that Virgin Atlantic was part of the Virgin group and so can use the credit card they offer on their websites to get 10% off.
Virgin Atlantic credit card is AMEX.
BUt there is also a different Virgin credit card.
Virgin megastores offer 10% off for students and for holders of Virgin credit card.
When I applied for Virgin Atlantic credit card, I got my cashback as its considered a "Virgin" card.
But surprise surprise, Virgin megastores dont accept it because they dont accept AMEX!
I know some stores dont accept AMEX, but you would think that if they offer the card, the least they can do is support it!
I emailed their cust services and told them I have a virgin amex card. The response was sorry, we dont accept amex.
How bloody daft!
