Anybody watching? Any predictions?

The rules state
Hitting below the belt, operative word
"Below"
So what boxers do is they pull up their shorts high giving a smaller body target to hit. If you cover the belly button then you can hit the waist belt elastic.
Now bare in mind these protectors the pros use have a padded belt under the belly button and then the cup.
So Usyk had his short highish,
This makes his padded belt area that few inches higher,
Dubois hit him on the waist band that was high then add the fact Usyk shorts were up and Dubois hit him on the padded protector belt Dubois hit him with some power.

Now unless Usyk's testicles are dangling from his belly button then it was a perfectly legal blow.
The ref should have been fully aware of Usyks's short and protector riding high and given it as a knock down. The count should have started and Usyk would have lost.

This is why boxing is in such a mess. There are 3 judges there that need a replay system so for incidents like this and accidental head clashes.
So knock down
Ref not sure
Start count
After 10 wave fight
Go to screen
If low
The boxer gets the max 5 minutes to recover
If the replay shows it wasn't low
He loses

Usyk cheated claiming he was hit low it's as simple as that. I feel so sorry for Dubois only to be ridiculed by Usyk dick head speech to him just after he'd been robbed.
When Dubois corner ranted to look at the screen showing a replay while both camps were still in the ring there was a shot of Usyk who was looking sheepish and relieved to get away with it.

Last note
If your shorts are covering your belly button how the hell can you body shot the stomach area you would be hitting the chest.

Look at were it hits on a high waist band

The stomach

And if you need any proof that Usyks shorts were high covering the belly button here's proof straight after he was ko'ed. The punch hit the emblem which is on the belly button
Legal shot

Dubois was robbed imo. Usyk definitely doesn’t like body shots and was given nearly four minutes to recover by the ref🙄. Hope he gets a rematch but it won’t be an easy fight.

There needs to be video replay of some sort involved in world title fights there's just too many things that go on on the blind side of the ref and in the blink of an eye. Things like head buts & cuts, gouging , low blows even biting etc.
Like I said in the case of Usyk what should have hypothetically happened was with say a var system in place:-

The ref should carry on counting out the boxer. The boxer should be given every opportunity to get to his feet within the 10 seconds. Now in this time the judges should be looking at the replay and allowed to red button green button as to a yes or no and the majority decision wins.
Now if it's low he should be given the full five minutes to recover and a decision made after the 5 minutes.
If the boxer is counted out and the judges vote to say it wasn't low then he's lost.
This just means more Fury TikTok sh1t to stomach before his panto next fight

WBA upholds Usyk-Dubois decision

The World Boxing Association (WBA) ruled that the ruling of the bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois, held last August 26, will stand after having thoroughly studied the appeal made by Queensberry Promotions. The bout that took place in Wrocław, Poland, ended with victory for WBA heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, who also defended his WBO, IBF and IBO belts in that bout.
On September 4, the company representing Dubois emailed the WBA indicating that Queensberry desired to have the outcome of the bout reversed due to the referee’s action for a punch they considered low in the fifth round.
Queensberry Promotions sent all the documents with their arguments to consider a reversal of the result. These were sent to Usyk’s representatives, the IBF and the WBO. On September 12, Usyk’s team acknowledged receipt of the appeal and their response, in which they addressed their arguments and various considerations about the fight.
The supervisors of the fight were Carlos Ortiz (IBF), Ed Levine (IBO), Thomas Puetz (WBO) and Jesper Jensen (WBA). The supervisor of the WBA, Jensen, determined that referee Luis Pabón made the correct decision regarding the punch which he considered an accidental low blow.
With the supervisor’s opinion, the WBA decided to send the case to the International Officials Committee, who on September 11, issued their review and found that there was no clear and conclusive evidence that the original decision made by Pabon on Dubois’ punch to Usyk was wrong. They also concluded that no TV clip had evidence that the decision was incorrect. In addition, they asserted that “the original decision of the low blow must stand, as there is no indispensable evidence to prove otherwise.”
On the other hand, the WBA rules determine that the decision of a low blow and whether a boxer who receives it can continue are strict competences of the referee and he is the only one authorized to make these decisions.
After studying all the documents, the conclusions of all the instances and the internal rules of the WBA, it was determined that the appeal does not proceed and the decision of the fight stands with the victory and defense of the champion Usyk.

Money talks a rematch is pennies compared to a Fury fight. A low blow is determined by how high or low the boxer wears his shorts. The easy way out for a ref is to not mention it to the boxer if their high.
Good job Simon Cowell doesnt box, a low blow would be his chin

Nothing to do with how high or low they wear their shorts, ref should know where the hip line is, and make his decision based on that.

Like I said, the refs not always in the best position (wrong side blind side) I mean, you only have to look at Tyson having a munch on Holyfields ear. It's time boxing caught up with the times and used technology at ringside.

Low blows are not meant to be based on the shorts or protector but alot of the time it is. Lots went 50/50 on this whether it was low its a grey area. Most boxers shorts and protectors especially the big guys wear them on or high above the belly button so a clean punch to the waist band of the shorts in my eyes should be deemed legal.

If you wanna wear them low more the fool you
