How to Unlock Samsung J700 For Free

WARNING: ALL CONTACTS AND OTHER SETTINGS MAY BE LOST DURING THIS PROCESS!!!

Method:
Before you start, make sure the battery is charged and all security codes or PIN codes or watever are disabled so we dont have any code prompts interfering with this method.

1. Turn off the mobile phone.
2. Insert a "Non-accepted" SIM card (sim card that wont work) half way in so that when you turn on the phone, it still says "Insert SIM".
3. Turn on the phone.
4. Enter the following code and wait patiently for phone to reset:

*2767*2878#

5. Once reset has completed, the phone will still say "Insert SIM". This is where you need to push the sim card all the way in. You can use a paperclip or a tiny object to push it in if you have difficulty. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE PHONE REMAINS ON AT THIS STAGE (TRY NOT TO LET BATTERY FALL OUT) IF BATTERY FALLS OUT, DO NOT PANIC, JUST START FROM STEP 2 AGAIN.
6. Enter the following code and wait patiently for phone to reset:

*2767*3855#

7. After reset is completed, SIM should work and also the reception. Don't get excited, its not unlocked yet.
8. Now we want to make it permanent. First check what locks need to be deactivated with the following code:

*#7465625#

------------------------------------------------------------------------
a)
If Network Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "Network Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*638*00000000#
Message should be "Network Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
b)
If Subset Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*782*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "Subset Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*782*00000000#
Message should be "Subset Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
c)
If SP Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*77*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "SP Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*77*00000000#
Message should be "SP Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
d)
If CP Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*27*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "CP Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*27*00000000#
Message should be "CP Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
e)
If SIM Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*746*00000000*00000000#

Hi Noodles

Thanks very much indeed for this post - but I'm experiencing a slight problem...

I've followed the instructions explicitly from the beginning to Step 8. All is fine. After entering the code at Step 8, I get the list on the screen and it confirms that NETWORK LOCK is the only item that is "ON" - all others on this interrogation page are "OFF".

I then enter the codes from step 8) a)

When I enter this code:

*7465625*638*00000000*00000000#

The handset responds:

(!) Inputs do not match (I defo don't get the message Network Lock has been personalised or anything similar!)

I've done this last part of the sequence five times now, and I'm defo typing in this exact code correctly.

I try to go on, and input the second code under 8) a):

#7465625*638*00000000#

I get this message:

(!) Wrong password (I defo don't get Network lock deactivated!)

and that's it!

I can see that the process is working to a point - it is presently Vodafone locked, and I'm doing these instructions with an o2 sim. Presently the handset is confirming that it has an o2 sim in it, and is showing five bars of signal strength. The phone works, and I can make / recieve calls etc - however, when the phone is rebooted it forgets the unlock and goes back to being Vodafone locked - I have to go through the Steps 1 - 7 to get it back to temporary unlock status!

PS - as a quick aside, is there a way of getting the Vodafone network splash screen removed from the boot sequence, or does this require a handset flash of some sort?

i think this is only a temp unlock. so if ya switch phone off and on again it go`s back to normal.
its been awhile since i done this so i might be wrong.
best just keep your phone charged up and on all the time.

cheers joe, just use this to unlock a samsung GT-E1170i

i get the same wrong code message when at the fianl step, but the temp lock will do for now.. :)

thanks never thought i would get this fixed ,all done big thanks:)
