Phone Unlocking Unlock HTC Wildfire

Hi pilgrims
I've been off DW for a while, been sick.
My sister has given me a Wildfire on Tesco (T-Mobile carrier).
I've looked through this forum for unlocking it.
I been on the links given for unlock codes.
That's fine. However, they all say if when you put the wrong sim in and the insert code doesn't show, it can't be unlocked.
Well this phone doesn't show where to input the code.
What's that all about. she's had it from new and hasn't messed about with it.
How can I get it unlocked then

Thanks Bro for replying.
I managed to find where the unlock sim code input is.
I went on Ebay, paid £1.98 ( not hoping for miracles) but the code they sent worked perfectly.
Then changed the network settings for internet.
All working great now.

Incidentally, do you know if codes for Samsung GT-15700 are about (I'll give my missus that phone)

last time i needed a phone unlocking of three them coonts charged me £15 after my contract had ended with the phone,never went back to the feckers again
