Unactivated card

From numerous sources I have heard it said that an unactivated card does not contain a mk or ppau, yet a card that came with a prepaid package one of my relations aquired had both. I have used these to make an au card trying various hexes and they all auto update, so on that basis I can assume that they are valid and working, yet the mosc will not update with this mk/ppau, if I enter another mk/ppau which I know to be working the mosc will update.

Anyone able to shed some light on this ?

If you enter the MK & PPUA on to the M.O.S.C, and then you need to get the od/oc codes and put them on to the card and it should update.

I am against this because i think everyone should use minimum package, but to give help is to recive

I agree with you completely,I have the min sub on my own card, no need to be greedy. I am just puzzled as to why an unactivated card has an mk an ppau, when from all I have previously read these codes are added to the card at time of activation.

I think that catkin has prepaid for a year like I have which means we will have to sub to the min package at the end of the year but your mk01 and ppua should already be activated as yuo have paid for a year in advance

Ooops I forgot to say in my last post that as far as i am awaire you still need to activate the card even though you have paid for a year. does anybody know different?

activating would be a good idea on a sub basis they do give you around two months for you to activate it, otherwise they will just turn the valid keys invalid. <img src="graemlins/helpme.gif" border="0" alt="[helpme]" />

i don't know if or why the mk01 and or ppua was on the card or if it should be there or should not but someone with a bit more knoledge on mosc than me can correct this if i am wrong but if the ppua is used on a gold card then only the first 3 bites of data are read where as on the mosc all 4 bites are read where by a valid ppua on the mosc would work on the gold card but not if unvalid on the mosc come on johnny help me out here m8 is this a load of bollox <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <img src="graemlins/down.gif" border="0" alt="[down]" /> <img src="graemlins/dizzy.gif" border="0" alt="[dizzy]" />

The keys are allready on the card because there is a different set for every card/serial number and when you phone up they activate the ppua and mk01 and thats when your cannels come on<br />But i dont you need to phone up and activate a pre-paid card because you have allready paid your money

when you buy a prepaid box you/dealer still needs to phone i**digital to turn your card on, or if you want to be different you can enter the latest od,oc,oe codes and this will activate your cards for you, BUT i** will know that you haven't got them to activate the osc so they can cancel your ppau And mko1,

Plus it seems to take longer for a osc to update than a gc, don't ask me why!!!!
