I am trying to network/transfer files to a 120mhz ancient laptop from my pc. The laptop can send files to the pc but will not recieve any files, the error message "the data is invalid"comes up on trying to transfer

find the ip address of the comp you want to send to then go to run type in \\(then the ip addrss) this should allow you in
The data may getting sent too fast fot the older pc to read, have a loo to see of there is any buffer settings in the infrared settings you can change.

having slowed it down to 9600 send speed from the pc the dialouge box says the laptop is actively refusing the transfer
