UMD fault

ok take battery out to make sure its completely off
now put it back in and switch on while holding the right trigger button
and see it u get into recovery menu.
links above are fine used many times

Tried that, the power light comes on but nothing else and after 5-10 sec the power light goes off.

u could always send me ur card and battery and i will do
one for u.
then when u used it u can return battery back to normal

sorry to hear it....but these things do happen.

cant be the installers as i always use calo's or stallones..

but john will sort it out for you no prob.

Thank you both for all the help, I do not know what went wrong, I thought I followed every instruction. I knew bricking it is always a risk. I am sure some fine follow will help sort it out.

could of been a number of things mate.

if the update started ok then i wouldnt of been anything you did.

maybe just the memory card was at fault.....read error....thats 1 of a few things.

luckly we have pandora now, so you will be up and running in no time mate

his card with 4.01 update was faulty
card formatted ok on my psp
but wouldnt on his.
anyway all sorted now.:Clap:

I think I will have to, I know one is at Sony v4.01, I do not know yet about the other, After seeing how easy it can be with the Pandora, it would be worth having to hand.
