Guys, time to update my sons 360 it has a vad 6038 drive running custom firmware (not sure which one as it was a long time ago that I done it). Used Iprep before to flash it.
Have installed my via pci card into the PC without any drivers and manually installed port io32 when the pc booted it detected a raid controller that I just ignored.
Xbox is in bits and sitting next to pc and SATa is connected to rear of card and into Xbox. Have run a chassis eearth between xbox and PC and am about to get started. Have downloaded the firmware pac and unzipped the BENQ file and put it into the firmware directory of jungle flasher that is located on my desktop
Do I need the video cable in the xbox? and is there anything else I have missed?
Updated Just fired up jungleflasher and gone to the dvd key32 tab and selected only show via ports only tick box as Jungle flasher was reporting on my internal drives the i/O address is 0xa800 is this ok so far?
Just went ahead and done it and piece of cake, Batman now working
