TomTom MOBILE V6

The map is probably in a folder within a folder, on the root of the memory card you should have a map folder called something like UK Map, depending on which maps you downloaded, within that folder there should be the map files usually no other folders within this.

n95 with tom tom ?

do you know if this tom tom version will work on n95 cause i dont like maps that comes on the phone as standard

and if there are going to make a compatable version

TomTom Mobile 6 will work fine on the N95 but not with the internal gps, you will need a bluetooth GPS receiver.

I have put the tom tom 6 software on my nokia n90, do i need to buy a bluetooth GPS receiver to get it working now or should it just work with the phone.

When it come to phones i am useless

thanks in advance

W950i Question

Hi All,

I'm just upgrading my N70 to a Sony ericsson W950i, I had to TomTom v5.x on the N70 and have now realised that the W950i is a different animal with UIQ software.
Has anyone actually done this with the downloads from Megaupload as listed in the other thread ?
If so how do you feel about TomTom Mobile on the W950i.

Thanks,

Why not just give it a go m8?

I don't think I've seen anyone with problems but that doesn't mean people haven't got it working and said nothing ;)

Files just go on the memory card, if it doesn't work, format the card and you're back to square one. :)

thanks c9679 - had the same problem getting certification error and followed your instructions and worked THANKS

most of the latest maps have better keygen software with them you dont need to run it through dos

if you find map of guam out there load that first with tt6 didnt need to use keygen on my n95 worked a treat, used on n80 last week same

same prob here!! spinning spalsh screen n73 firmware v3.4 which according to nokia is the latest version? I downloaded all files from this site opened them and put them on my mem card via a card reader all installs ok but just spinning logo grrr

I've got this working beautifully on my N73, however, my gallery has been clogged up with all the camera icons and road signs from the TomTom maps. Can I remove these from the gallery? Is it possible to still get it working with the maps in another folder?

no mate, think you have to keep the map folders as they are otherwise tom tom wont find them if they are under another name.

The images arent in the gallery folder, the gallery on the phone usually just searches for all images on the phone and displays them... If you delete them you will be deleting them from wherever they are stored on the phone/memory card

Note to all: For anyone installing the version that I posted a while ago if you get an expired certificate warning, change your phones date to anything before 05/2007 and then try installing again :)

What happens after the certificate error, you should get a certificate warning anyway and then should continue installing... Whats happening on yours after the error???

TomTom Mobile 6 Installation Notes
1, Format the memory card, if you have installed another version before...
2, Copy all the files for the maps and for Tom Tom on to the card
3, Check your date and time settings are correct
4, Run TomTom.Mobile.v6.01.S60v3.SymbianOS9.1.sis using File Manager on the phone

If you get a Certificate Error (not Warning, you should get a warning...)
Check the following settings
Tools > Application Manager > Options > Settings
Software Installation = All
Online Certif Check = Off

on Nokia N95 Mines saids 'No maps found' when i start the application i copied everything that was in that folder to the root i have version TomTom601? Any ideas?

have you copied the map folder to the root of the memory card ?

sounds like you aint put a map on it.

You will need the GB postal codes file aswell m8, put this file in a folder on the root of your memory card and call it Zip.

Check you have the map folder on the Memory Card like suggested above however also check that the folder is on the card and all the files are inside that folder, because sometimes when unzipping you might get a folder within a folder...

So you might get

Root > UK > UK > All the files...

Thanks justeve :)

Remember you have to set your phones date back to about May 2007 in order to install, as the certificates have expired since these files were released :) so just set the date back, install and then set it back to normal :)
