Thompson freeview+ no disk present?

My thompson dti6021-25 won't record, in the menu it says no disk present. Does anyone know of a fix for this or has anyone experienced this before?

factory reset first if no joy format hard drive then sadly its the hard drive.

Ok i'll give that a go later, can the hd be replaced on these? Plug n play?

Just to update this was sorted with a sofware upgrade, i now have a few of the higher spec models (500gb) available in the for sale section.
