New here (don't know if I messed up with the title of my last post as it has disappeared), anyway title changed I will try again.

Is it possible to extract the keys from a genuine box?, if so any pointers

there are easier ways to get the keys.

Probably but being as I have one I was was wondrin bout helpin if I could extract them myself

There have been a few posts on this topic, they may be useful to you. But I have no idea how much work will need to be done to do this.
