Sufferin with elvis

Still no further ahead m8s,when i click on auto detect the red light does flash which would indicate the com port is on line with elvis,but still (no standard PIC smartcard) appears in window, still using gold,still no joy,could use some advice.

Right m8 let go one step at a time.
Frist connect your 9volt batt.
then connect your lead to com 1
you should get a yellow light on your Elvis.
Put your gold card in then Click on mp6 you should get the multiprogrammer v6.0.17.282..........
now click on autodetect
you should get a window with autodetect pic smartcard....? if so click OK.
you should end up with 1 pic+eeprom in the window.
let us know if you get this far ok then we will get you the rest of the way.....Gazer

Connected 9v batt. connected lead to com 1,put in gold card,at this point no yellow light, click on autodetect red light flashes on&off get window(autodetect pic smartcard)
inside that window(multiprogrammer basic,version 3.5(firmware 1.5)(com1))then click ok.another window (Present check 1-2)That scans through a check menu at this point the red light stays on until the check is complete,then another window(no standard PIC smartcard found)appears....

Thats it step by step....ta m8....
