COM1 has nothing to do with FlashFXP, m8. The wally in the shop has probably flogged you a null-modem Serial cable!

For FTP comms, you need a cross-over Ethernet patch cable to connect from your PC's Ethernet Port to the Ethernet Port on dbox.
