I know little about computing or encryption however it is sometimes someone who looks at things with a different logic that can come up with a new line of thought
everone wants to crack the sky card (now heres the question (i apologise if its a stupid one but here goes)
can anyone emulate the signal sent by sky to the box to activate the card ?
cutting out having to programme the card ?

just a thought

Hi james707, it is a good question 4 someone ho knows nothing.. hehe dont put yourself down m8.

Well the answer is 'Yes' whahey! You can emulate a signal sent via the stream, and into box and then to card. And this can be done with your Elvis since they are good enough for playing with Sly cards. But.. there's always the 'but'...

Here goes, you can send whatever you want to the card, no probs, but it will only accept instructions if they are valid! This is due to a complex digital signature, and also 'key' systems that I wont go into. Now what this means is that now you can 'log' (due to recent developements) the stream and you can record details of valid instructions and then send them. But the initial 'turn on' instructions are only valid for each individual card. However you cannot make up your own instructions and expect them to be accepted and processed.
I dont want to go on and on here so post your further questions and I am sure there are answers.
Experiments continue and as yet there is no 'free sly'
