Sky Q receivers for FTA services

A freind has moved in to place where there is a wideband LNB for Sky Q on the dish. He is not able to change it. Has anybody bought a Sky Q box and used it for FTA services? I know they are meant to be returned and should not be sold.

The new 4k Freesat boxes will work with a sky Q lnb but not cheap
Recordable 4K TV Box

I've also seem them on ebay as i was looking just the other day. I've just plugged by hd box back in after a couple of years and all is fine.

hi i just got a vu+uno 4k se box.the sky q lnb not working . so i got a new lnb.all good now.

Not that this is the correct thread, but you should have got a Unicable LNB for your FBC tuner to get most out of it.
