for the first time in 2 years i got a Sky statement in the post and was charged £1 for the pleasure of it. So other People might want to check their Sky account settings online as you might get the same surprise in the post. I've spoke to sky on the phone as i think it's cheeky to just send statements out when i've stated i'll view my bills online and i've got my £1 back!
They are saying it's a mistake where some accounts settings have been changed, when doing a system upgrade which i think is BS. They are quite happy to try and get away with charging you for a service, with the basic it's upto you to point out the error not them.
From looking on the sky forum, alot of people have just got statements out of the blue as well
to change to paperless settings via sky account

Log in,click on My Account and on the r/h/s of the page you will see paper billing link to click on and follow the info there.
