Homeplug Setting up two differing makes of Powerline Converters.

Hi
It's claimed that it's possible to interconnect different makes of Powerline Converters.
I'd like to add a Zyxel 4-port converter to feed all the stuff near my TV. I've already got both Arcnet and Simpler Networks converters so would like to interface either of them to the new Zyxel. So far no go at all.
Anyone any experience in this area or do I need to buy more Zyxel?

you need to check what protocol it uses
from what i know there is 2 main types

Have had some success by using the encrypt button in the same way as the link button on Arcnet, also keeping Zyxel connected as recommended elsewhere. Not sure that the Zyxel is as sensitive as the others though, still it is working.
