Satellite switch off in Germany tomorrow

Hi all
I have been asked to find out whats happening, after 6pm tomorrow Uk tv will not be available in Germany, I assume it's to do with the satellite that beams to Germany is no longer transmitting
Does anyone know if Uk tv will be available in Germany after tomorrow my friends were told to buy a 2.5 metre dish but if there is no beam that would be a waste of money
as always any help greatly appreciated

Don't do nothing hasty just yet. Some of the switchover has already happened and reports of 85cm working ok in Cologne.

That would be my thought as well, but they are keen football supports and also own an irish bar so need the english audio

BBC, ITV, and the 4's gone people say if you lost Channel 5 last year you will have lost these too! I think Germany is not too bad, may just require a larger dish - unlike the Algarve = Dead zone, not even 3mts work!
