will a quad sky lnb fit on a normal mount ?


what it is a s*y enginneer gave me a quad lnb which i want to use on my own motorised dish. I have a s*y dish with a quad lnb which feeds downstairs my 2 s*y+ hd recivers and want to put another 3 dreamboxs upstairs and cc to them,so if this works it would just save me buying a octo lnb

hi m8 it should do aslong as it has the same dimentions as the other 1 (40mm)where the lnb connects to the arm on the dish

im not sure about the dimensions m8, however if u put the quad lnb on the motor its not always going to be on 28e, when u change to say 13e on your motor. the other boxes will have to take their signal from that.

I'm never sure when replying to stuff like this But! I tried 2 different quad (YKS) lnb's when I was setting up my multi lnb dish (80 cm), and although they fit into the 40mm clamps no problem, I could not get a signal from either of them.
But I tried one out on a minidish and it works fine ???

So you could encounter same problem. But hope you dont
