Just read this on sky news, Gutted, very sad news. RIP

Really liked Rik as well. What a legend he was!!

The gasman episode of bottom sticks in my mind.

I know "comedy genius" is a much overused term these days but this guy will always be one to me. Childish, violent, ridiculously crass level of humor.... have never laughed so hard and for so long, from comic strip to B'Stard to bottom. Years of joy. Up yours Thatcher and RIP to the best anarchic poet of our generation.

I remember getting to the TV room up the youth club to het a good place as it would be packed ready to watch The Young Ones :) classic youth comedy :)

Gutted, grew up on their genius!!! (young ones, blackadder, bottom, to name a few!)

Bottom was probably the funniest tv show I have seen, and their live shows when they would really hit each other by accident lolololololol...

Shame, no age at all!

Someone was saying to me in the gym that it was to do with a quad bike accident he had recently?

Speculation I guess but really sad news!

So sad to hear this on the news tonight.
Loved that guys comedy.
Seen him a couple of times in bottom live. Him and Aide were comic genious.
