What about the trotters three wheeler, the reliant was a classic. I was walking
down the road a good while back and it was very windy. There was a reliant
coming the opposite way and believe me or not , a gust of wind blew up and
picked the car up and left the two passengers upside down as it was on its roof.
I could not believe what i was seeing. That is a true story guys.

Brings back memories!!
The first time I took the wife out for a drink, she directed me to her house to pick her up. "It's the one with the yellow Allegro outside"
It turned out to be hers!!!!!!!!!!
What a turd of a car that was !!!
The following date she took me out in it. The suspension collapsed on 1 side!!!!!
Shat myself.
Ended up dumping the car and marrying her!!
Now...........with hindsight............................ ;)

Ahhhhhh those early days when you would happily drive around in a pile of shite/deathtrap. My first car was a red Datsun 120Y coupe, I thought it was the bees knees, looking at some pics of them , it wasn't a bad looking car in it's day. That one died a death when the axle snapped. On closer inspection I discovered it had snapped before and some nutcase put it back together with Catalloy!!

I had a lime green Marina after that...a real head turner lol.

Not my first car, but had one of these Matra Rancho swapped it for an old datsun. There was something wrong with the gearbox and couldn't get reverse.

Roads werent so busy, so just drove into parking space leaving enough room to drive straight out. If I ever did have to move it, it was fibreglass so just pushed it back a little.

Got fed up in the end, needed reverse more.
Couldn't dream of doing it nowadays, you would never be able to park.

same mustardy colour too.

yeah I owned an allegro and that was in a sh*ty brown colour, why where all the cars in them days horrible dull colours like brown, maroon and beige yuk. The princess was a cool car with its wood dash.

My first car was a vauxhall viva HB, it was the biggest load of CRAP I have ever driven I cannot believe we got away with making such S**T.

aint it mad how an old vw beatle, I'm talking 30 years old are selling for the same price as some second hand cars that are about 5 years old, I know which i'd go for in terms of comfort and reliability.

My first was a Mk 2 Escort 1300 in beige, drove it like the rs 2000 in the perfesionals it died of rust in the end.
