Recording with tm 5402

I have a tm 5402 and with the help of this forum is now working well BUT , now when i record to a 1tb hard drive it will record 1 hr of a movie but also about 15, 20 second bits of the movie none of theses will actually play this has just started since i put patch 123 on could this be due to the patch or has anyone other ideas of the problem.
