rec 900 dvd player help please,

downloaded a film in mpeg,

seems clear as a bell, both sound an vision,


converted it with nero to svcd,


but when i play it it says vcd on screen,

is this the norm with the rec 900 and the one i,m playing is actually svcd,


or should it say svcd when loading,

an ive actually burnt it in vcd mode by mistake,

any help would be gratefull ,
