Its either bb3 loosing it connection or the flash chip is not what it says it is.

Take the mobo out and check the number on the chip itself.

Some of the clone used slight variants of the chips that should be there.

thanks for the quick reply
i must state that i am a newbie at this
i can get the board out but not sure which chip i'd be looking for though
all the help i can get i would be very great-full

Underneath the board there is a very small 8 leg chip that is the one you need to look at.

i have found it
MXIC MX
25L3206E
M21 12G
3P049200
L14037

not sure what the last number/letter is . it looks like an 8

if this is any help

thanks for the replys
think it's time to chuck it in the bin
unless someone could fix it for me please
getting fed up with it now
trying and trying

Buy a new chip or a usb programmer
Step1 remove the old chip, stick onto the programer and wipe it
step2 install bootloader.bin using the programmer
Step3 solder back onto the board
Step4 boot from usb and install your firmware
Very easy ;)
