CD & DVD Problems burning a rewritable dvd

sorry about the hassel hatab....right...downloaded version 1.17 for my drive
clicked on the icon it had with it...then it opened up a dos command for c:\

but then it said
ODD firmware update utility ver 2.41c
Available target not found

Lost now?????

Could not see/find any instructions how to do it

I totally agree with steveh, i used dvd RW disk with a camcorder , did not work but once formatted, worked fine

HI Guys .
Will som kind person walk me through ripping a dvd to my hard drive so i can burn to dvd ,i have NERO 7 .

get dvd2one and imgburn,rip it with imgburn and if you need too shrink the file size use dvd2one or any similar program.
