Depends what you mean Dutcho. I use an Epson wireless printer that's accessed by both Win7 and Mac computers.

Is that what you're getting at?

I have a printer hanging off my windows server (using smb paths) that my daughters iMac can access no problems, you just have to tell it which driver to use

Sorry I was on my phone and hate using it to post, lol.

It's for my sister, she has a printer connected to here windows 7 machine and wants her mac to be able to print as well. I thought it might be drivers but wanted to be sure.

She ll need to share it out with the permissions set, the smb path is the important bit.

Then, on the mac, in system settings go to printers or print servers ( can't remember exactly) go to the windows tab, add the smb path and select the printer driver from the drop down box

Wireless and I gave up on it and got drunk with everyone else. Kept saying a component is missing or sommit even though I ran the full setup from the website. My first taste of macs and it was bitter

if its on wireless u need to go to sharing
turn on printer
and then select the printer type through 'bonjour' should work no prob
