pregrammed chip for psx1 scph5552

hi could someone please tell me were to get a preprogrammed chip for ps1 model no scph5552 and how to fit one,post us some links...thanx

Found this site <a href="http://www.modchipstore.com/" target="_blank">www.modchipstore.com/</a><br />The chip plugs into ps1 so no soldering required maybe usefull if you have more than 1 consul priced around £10. Has anyone got one? Not tried it myself.

gazzaman think you have got a bit mixed up the chip for the psx or ps1 have got to be soldered in the plug in chip is for the ps2

all psx modchips need to be soldered onto the mainboard they dont plug in anywhere. check to see if there is a computer fair near you where you should pick up a chip for about £2.00 max. and you will find step by step instructions for installation on many sites including the link posted by gazzaman!

Click on the PS and PS2 Mod chips on the left had side and you will then find the PS1 Modchips, they are about £2 each.

You can also download the fitting diagrams.

you need a very steady hand m8 when fitting soldering modchips. 8 wires.

Yes,sorry mod chips need soldering. Better off sticking with <a href="http://www.maxking.com/" target="_blank">www.maxking.com/</a> chips from £1.

u CAN buy a modchip/cheat card that does fit into the back (parrellel port)of the old style psx,BUT u can NOT use it for the ps1!

Its ok what huggi says but after 10 months of playing on it you will find that it will breck the lazer, and wont play any games, its a lot easyer to get it chiped.

neo2 or neo2.2 or neo4 or neo4.1 or messiah or elvis or phenix.<br />If you go to your local comp show it will cost about £70-£120 depending on what chip you chose to have.<br />Neo2/neo2.2 This chip you need an action replay v1.3+ for ps2 versions 1-4 version 5 you need 2.1+<br />Neo4 is normal you just put it in, same with Messiah, elvis and phenix.
