Police officer guilty of driving at 159 mph

whhooo dont get me started on this and the quote

""suffered enough" with two-and-a-half years of court proceedings."

Yea sure .. no offece to anyone here but MINIMUM he should have is a susspension of his licence.

I was caught speeding 35 in a 30 and 57 on and 50 on a dual caridgeway known as the mad mile where i live (NO PEDESTRIANS ANYWHERE).

as i was a new driver (Actuall had 1 month go go and i'd been driving 2 years) as i was a new driver and i got 6 points and as a result i lost my licence.. but thats not the bad part as i was market trader it hit me and my family hard (it was our only income) as a result of stock i had and coulden't shift (DID Eventually but thats a longer story) we ended up having to move home as we could nolonger live within our means and i couldent walk into a job with the same pay unless i went to collage and with the time span of all this happening there wasnt enough time. as i still had to pay bills and the normal cost of living but with no income and as my wife had just give birth she couldent go for a job. so it was down to me, i got a job but we couldent afford our house and lost it all :( any way were now back on my feet. but things like this just enforces the 1 rule for 1 and 1 rule for another.

and before people say he was trained as a experienced driver blabla bla thats true but i'd like to see that guy control a tyre blow out at 159mph or a wondering animal on the motorway (as can happen)

Sorry to hear that mate, but if you said in court that you would lose your job/house and livelyhood im pretty sure you would have kept your license. I know a mate who has 14 points on his licence and still drives because of this situation..

well thats what i exspected i sent a cover letter along with the cheque and my licence and i still lost it and when i had a go at the call agent i was told as soon as the cheque and licence are accepted you are acsepting the fine and as a result get the points and then loose the licence..

she then told me i should have NOT paid the fine then gone to court and i would have got to probably keep my licence. and then i blew my lid as when i get the fine in the first place i phoned up and was told to send in my licence allong with a cheque and covering letter and they will review it then : tosser : .

but because i had allready lost my licence there was nothing i could do then the ladslide that was my life began ;)

but "Sorry to hear that mate" no need to be sorry unless you were the copper with the mobile speed camera or the first call handler i spoke to who told me to send in my details with a covering letter.

"I was advised to familiarise myself with vehicles, so when there was a need to respond at speed you were aware of its performance." to me this isnt acceptable at all........wat performance...a far as i know coppers arent allowed to chase at high speeds unless they are driving in a BMW or the Volvo as they are the only cars owned by polce for chase purposes....

so if i buy M3 and get caught driving at 150+mph speed could i get away with saying "just testing my new high performance car so that i know what to do on a track day".....the law enforcement is just gettin rubbish as it is not uniformly distributed

Christ that's so wrong...Lawyers will be able to say to judges my client has 'suffered' two years of court proceedings and should be let off? How the hell did a driving offence incur 2 year in court anyway? Just because he's a copper?

what a load of bo***cks. one rule for them and one rule for us, advanced driving is supposed to be defensive driving, and who the hell was he going to chase at that speed anyway, like someone already said the police high response vehicles are volvo's currently.

absolute load of SHITE, what the hell does suffered 2 and a half years of court proceeding mean ????? sitting on your arse listening to lawyers is now a sentance apparently.

Have you just returned from a 400 year deep space exploration to Jupiter, idiot.

The FACT is the law is on the helmets side, and the judges and magistrates let them off regardless of the crime, i'm suspicious at there motives, then again, i'm talking about the type of people that download child pornography. FACT!!!

Ooops, naughty post

Does it take a child to be knocked over a killed or a family shunted onto an embankment by some moron trying to improve his driving skills??

If I need to improve my skills for work there's a place and time i.e. college.

Have this lot not heard of test tracks or air fields!!!!: tosser :
