hi peoples......
have 2 pace 1000's and a pace 1010 phase b to do
the 2 1000's were not on the database nor was the 1010

i have recentley been lent a willlem eprom programmer 4.5 tsop48 and i am now quite confident enought to lift atties and replace them......what i need to know is a couple of things and im sure you techies out here can point me in the right direction.......

!. Are there any special jumper settings anywhere for the willem(or a tutoriol for this programmer)
2. What line is the ird and boxke on both chips (as i understand you read 1 at a time an put em together at the end)or is there anything you can load both hexes into to get the proprer info
3. what software actually works for this programmer as i have a couple
4. has anyone done this same thing i am doing before....and if so got any pointers?

cheers peoples

i've got v 4.0 but heres goes.

use program epr097 :

device > 29vf/39lf/vf/49lf go a cross to 29lvx00 (8/16 bit ) then select 29lv160

untick all boxes

thats the program set up

settings for the program

on adaptor which urs is onboard i think

upp and 29f closed
2 voltages open

programmer
3 pins as normal not erase
upp closed
u18 closed

red dip switches
1 off
2 on
3 on
4 off
5 on
6 on
7 off
8 on
9 off

blue dip switches
1 off
2 on
3 +4 off

thats the programmer ready clean the legs of the chip will hold it up to the light it helps

stick it in with the dot side 1 of the chip to the top lright of the adapter

id the hardware make sure it id the right chip manufacture and number

read the chip

save file

in down load section the is a programe to extract bk ect its on the last page

last off make sure u can put the atmels back its all good taking them off put putting them back is a pitch u might kill your box i would advice u not to do it this way there are easyer ways now. but i have to admit im still lifting the chips or glich

Ive lifted a few atties in the past, but to be honest mate I think you're mad!
There is no way I would touch the atties on them, for £20 you can buy a plug and play led simm from atmelace that will get the BKs from the 1000's and 1010 within minutes with no soldering / pi$$ing about at all.
