I am unable to flash a nokia dbox with IFA. I have tried hyperterminal, with just serial and it goes through the process and looks complete, but when box booted, it gets to lade screen and keeps resetting.

The log from IFA is as follows. Any insight much appreciated.

Only one tiny detail I can spot, and this is your target Image. Avoid long file names and intricate paths. Copy this image 'as' CLB2X.IMG to C:\ (ie the root of your boot drive), then try again. Patience haveth virtues with IFA...

Cheers- AL

I will try both of the above posts and get back, Many thanks for your input.

Dont know if this helps but have you tried just ftp'ing an image into your temp folder and flashing it like that always worked for me saves piddling about with cables as well if you have wifi.

The box only boots to the lade screen then resets so ftp is not possible.

@philburn
As Devilfish has suggested try a earlier version of IFA 1.5.6 maybe and a different image.

Oh right. sorry, still got loads to learn myself yet.

I just flashed the andomeda_v1_Nokiax_2x image, big thanks to xenafan and his hard work, to my dbox2 about an hour ago using the prog off the link

[DLMURL]http://www.dboxservice-hallenberg.de/freedownloads.php[/DLMURL]

Just had a null modem cable as you don’t need anything else and followed the process described in the uploaded doc and it went like a dream.

Make sure that your box is off and only switched on when you have hit start button in image flash.

You should see in your box display that it is flashing.

When completed you see flash done in display and just click ok in image flash window. 21/2 mins is all it took.

Switch box off and then reboot the box.

Job done and andomeda_v1_Nokiax_2x image is up and running and looks good.

DBOX must be in Debug Mode already!!!
Turn off DBOX
Start Application
Choose Drive where you have the Image you want to flash
Choose the right network Card where the DBOX is connected to
Choose if you have a null modem Cable and what Com Port ( this is set to no & is correct)
Click Start
On Windows XP SP2 you now need to click unblock
Power your Box up and the Software does the Rest
Display will say Flashing whilst Software is transferred and then Flashing Done after about 2 1/2 Minutes.

Sorry folks lol that is a crossover cable not a null modem, you don't need a null modem and that is why

Choose if you have a null modem Cable and what Com Port ( this is set to no & is correct)
