No Sound from Toshiba DVD / VHS Combo

and decided to make use of our old 24" box that sat idly in the corner.

I connected the Combi with a scart lead to the TV.

Also connected the TV with a cable attached to the ariel port with the 'out' port on the back of the combi.

I want to use it for watching DVD / Divx and mum to watch VHS - I know VHS still runs here... maybe will attach cable TV to it later.

Anyways, I get colour picture from both DVD and VHS but am not getting sound.

Can't think of any other cable needed to get sound from this? Been years since I last connected anything to this TV... help...

Aha. The answer was simple.

Phoned Toshiba support and she told me to swap the scart lead because the two rows on the scart ends (one for audio and the picture) may not be making proper contact.

I plugged the TV end of the scart lead into the combi and the combi end into the TV and alas I have sound
