no atr from funcard

anybody got any ideas on this one iv'e done a lot of funcards so i am doing it right but i stuck on this one if i program it with rst i get a atr and it works if i do a au card i get no atr at all i have compared the files after i read the card and whatever i program in to the card i get the exact same out so the card seems to be ok i just don't get a atr any ideas

convert the hex to bin see if that works ?

tried it as bin and hex with the same results tried the same files on funcard 4 and it works but the cards i am having problems with are all funcard 5's
