I have no idea if that's even the right title for this question, but I was wondering if it's possible to set up a webpage/site for a network IP address.

Example: I input the IP addresses of my router or my cable modem, and both of them give me web pages for configurations and the like. Now, I'd like to try do something like that with my own computer on the network, just to see if it's possible. Not for config purposes or whatever, but just a wee webpage or something like that.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks

Yes you will need to create a web server on your pc

like abyss web server, I think its free and easy to setup

Is you want a quick fix try searching goog. for "WOS" Gives you a php/mysql/apache server you can run off a usb stick therefore you just plugin your stick, run wos.exe and voila a webserver. Lol. Then just upload your files to <Stick>:/<Server directory on stick>/www/

This saves you installing a server so if youve had enough you can just unplug and everything is the same on your pc.
