need help setting pin

hi i got a smammy 2110c

this box aint got a battery to short

i read that the pin is stored in the same eeprom as the net id

and if i erase it and then put it back in box will i be able to set my pin

im in pure so it will update itself

the eeprom that holds net id is: 24LC1024

and will the williem be able to read, write and erase this chip

i noticed in the williem software (latest 1) that the option for this eeprom is greyed out?

any help will be appreciated

yes if you erase the eeprom or put a new one in you will be able to reset the pin.

but will a williem do it?

and has a sammy 2100c stores the netid in a same chip like this?

if so i could just swap the chips

ok got it sorted

i took of the chip

put it on my smd adapter for willem and in the device options i coulnt select the chip

so i selected

24C512 (128)

it read the chip ok

and i saved the contents

but if u click erase it wont let u

u have to clear buffer with FF

and then write to chip

so it fills it with ff

i read mine again and it was ff

so chip was empty

now i put it back in

went to eng menu

put frequency and pin in

it rebooted

and because im in pure it picked up my net id

and updated

but guess what its picked up the virgin firmware!

au fun still working but the epg looks rubbish

looks like they are trying the virgin firmware in teeside now

but my box is up and running again
