Need Help Pace 2000 Remote!!!!

Hello

I have a pace 2000 box and the channels cannot be changed by remote for some reason. it was working yesterday and today has stopped working and before u ask i have changed the batteries and also tried another pace 2000 remote which has not worked. I have told by someone i knw that the sensoe in the box has gone. Could anyone elaborate on this and is there any way to get it fixed.

Needs a new crystal on the board for the remote.

Hi

You need the x601 crystal/resonator, if you heat it up with a solder iron it might just get it going otherwise you need to change it. I just took off the top can off, just prise off or pull off with pliers and I didnt take old one off and just soldered new one on top for a m8 and its been working fine since.

I got it from link below, take off the underscore before http, its the 3.69 crystal 25p each but delivery a bit steep but I believe maplins stock them now bt dont know stock code.
