Health drinks, body building shakes?! WTF, **** off!
What this lady needs is sectioned into a psychiatric unit, treated with Valium and a SSRI type drug (Google it if you are unsure) and given some tender loving care and encouragement.
She needs to be slowly reprogramed out of her current self. It's obvoiulsly a mental illness, no health shake or body suppliment will ever help her.
Her GP is a prick and a disgrace, in no way whatsoever will Valium help her, apart from a short term solution it's a completely useless drug, it cures nothing but causes a shit load of other problems.
Short term = a few hours per pill, what good is that to anyone?
For a start your attitude and language leaves little to be desired. People are posting opinions that might be helpful. Fortijuice is a prescribed medical drink that you can buy. It is not and i repeat NOT a body building drink. If she is in a state of mind, the doc is treating her for that. I,m not a doctor nor pretended to be. Her weight loss, appetite could be affected by her mind. The doctor is obviously treating the mind, most likely seeing if this affects all over condition.
Prescribed medication will also affect her mind,so it will be a waiting game to see for change. I don,t think for one minute the doc needed to call for sectioning, although depending on circumstances he might at some date. One swallow doesn,t make a summer. It might not be long a term illness, but if depression is diasgnosed it could be any amount of time without any cure. Then it will be learning to live with it,maybe with the correct drug, lifestyle etc
You are right about valium,it can cause other problems, but for some it works.I personally thought it odd that the patient is prescribed this drug first. I would have thought something like amytriptyline might be one of the first, but there you go.
I personally have said i,m no doc, that is why i wouldn,t offer any medical advice, only an opinion based on what is being said. Neither would i put my foot in and say get the patient sectioned, there may or may not be a time for that, but that depends on the whole picture concerning the patient. This would of course change if the patient became a danger to herself or others. This is where and why i said the patient will need looking after in the very least by love and affection etc. Maybe the friends of the patient might have to see some kind of authority about her condition at some stage, but through a doc will only be on his terms ie when he has exhausted his avenues.
Opinions only,i.m not a doc.....but for the patient and friends i hope it turns out ok sooner rather than later ,whatever the outcome. You have to break the viscious circle by one means or another.I wish you well.
