cant get pacific dvd player to play copy films,tried region code still doesnt work, please help......cheers

Steps to resolving JUMPY OR NO VCD PLAYBACK on pacific dvd 750 (SVCD and VCD).
1. Wrap up DVD 750 with manuals etc, warranty card and receipt.
2. Take it back to ASDA and ask to return it. you don't need to give a reason but if they ask just say that it plays jumpy...!
3. You have 3 years to do this.
4. Ask for a Schneider DVD 856 instead and pay them the extra tenner or so.
5. Take the new DVD player home, set it up, discover that it is essentially the same machine as the Pacific (even the OSD!!!) and marvel at the extra features (karaoke, dolby 5.1).
6. Play the VCD/SVCD that was jumping. Low and behold it turns out that Schneider make better parts (namely the opticals) for their own brand than they do for Pacific.
