i haven`t got a clue about any of this so here goes:
daughter`s moving into a house with her chap and they want virgin with all the trimmings. best part of 100 pound. so i thought i`d have a look round and it looks like one of these dream box`s sound good. i`m not completely a newbie as used to have cable when it was free to air lol
so i have a few question
1. which box ? the one i looked at was a dreambox 800 hd. can i record on these ?
2. are they cheap , seem to be all sorts of prices ? seen some on ebay with sim 2.1 already on, is this what i`m looking for ?
just quite confused at the minute so need someone to point me in the right direction , oh and have a bit of patients lol

Tbh if its just to watch UK tv channels then I would hold fire as they are slowly introducing anti CS measures which would mean you will only be able to view FTA channels and not the premium ones

oh right, do you know how long before its gone ?? i was also looking at the 500 which is cheaper, just incase it goes t@ts up lol
