I had a phone call a couple of nights ago from my wife who was in tears..
Last year we had neighbours from hell, f-ing and blinding - calling each other cu*ts when were in the back garden playing with our young kids, good riddance...
Anyways, they got evicted and we had a gay female couple move in,
Now we live in a 3 storey 5 bed town house, every single house on my street is occupied by people with young children bar them.
They moved in, with thier 2 massive loud dogs, a parrot that constantly swears, and about a million rabbits.
I could see problems occuring when they insisted in standing outside our front room window smoking 24-7, my youngest twin has chest problem and it made our non smoking house smell like a pub pre smoking ban.
Ive not said a word about that or the fact that thier dogs are out all the time barking for hours, or the fact that neither seem to be able to keep thier cars parked on thier own drive ways and use mine making me put the car on the road out front, ive just let it go over my head.
Anyways, were having the whole house double glazed next week and i thought i would do a neighbourly thing to do to let them know that there will be a bit of work going on.
She hit the roof and said about shift work (i also work shifts and have 3 kids to look after when the wifes at work so i had zero sympathy, but told her it would only be for two days), she said she will take it up with the council as its not acceptable her being woken up when shes on shifts. (good luck with that love).
Roll on a couple of days later, my wife was out visiting her parents, when she got home the dog barked once or twice like he does to say hello - the kids are loud like all kids are, but its 9pm.
She was in less than 2 mins and one of these idiots knocks on the door having a go at how loud the kids are and the dog barking constantly!!???, our dog is old, he never barks unless the front door is opened like he is trained to do.
She then went on about calling social services and the council about the noise the kids make!!!...
When my mrs told me i wanted to go round and rip her head off, but my wife is very level headed and has stopped me.
These cretins are rented from private landlord, is there anything i can do other than the illegal route?
I know the next time one of thier cars ends up on my drive way the wheel clamp i own is being attached, i really hope its the taxi they own...
What is it with people - you move into a family home with familys either side then complain about normal family behaviour - my friend works for social services it maybe time to have a word in his ear about these people just in case
