Music on websites

Is it possible to play audio music tracks instead of midi files on websites as pages are opened??????
ie: 50megs , geocities
Any help appreciated

audio music-files, mp3s are a way too large for website . It will load forever, when someone is using a 56 kb modem.
So better use the midifiles...
