MS word (office 2007) stopped working overnight

I can no longer edit copy paste etc docs in word

they open OK and print OK but I cant edit or copy text and paste into new docs

any ideas

Is it an evaluation copy of Office? It sounds like the evaluation period has finished and it has locked out the program

allroad.. I had the same problem.. but there is only one long term cure for it..

Im not sure the fix it thing would fix it like.. its like ms helping to hayk a software..

there is another way.. let me know if it stops working again..

if its not an evaluation copy and it is a full copy of office, tyr defaulting the settings or use the repair office in add/remove programs.

Interesting issue that continues to be a problem. Just had a lappy that had the same problem, W7 64bit, and it was caused by ms updates, not sure which one, but updates were turned off. The other strange thing though was the same user had a desktop, W7 32bit, and there was no problem even though updates were turned on!
