Ive been playing halo3 and cod4 few others before there official uk realese with no ban as yet.......
(Prob banned now when i play again for saying that lol)

No mate as many of us are using the same releases, some are banned some aren't.

i can sign into live fine without my drive,but it seems i could well be wron here anyways

I've got a hitachi-LG replacement drive (I bricked the original 0078fk drive) the one i have is not available in retail boxes, it a 0032ce version and has a black tray instead of the usual grey ones. i have it flashed with a stealth firmware and also have it spoofed to show up as a 0078 drive, i have call of duty 3 as a backup disk and it works fine, Ms also have not banned me and i've had this drive well over a year now. perhaps Ms don't detect these old drives (they were used in testing the 360) or perhaps people are not using the proper stealth firmware??
