A friend want his router moved from his attic room, to another location. I think he said VM would charge him for the move?

He has virgin media box down stairs that his TV is connected to and the cable goes in to a white box. Whats the easiest way to do this?

Thanks, should i cap the old cable?

When I had a connection fitted downstairs by A Virgin engineer, he never touched the upstairs connection box, so I assume you shouldn't have to.
He may have disconnected it outside though so I'm not 100% sure.

Think i have one somewhere so i'll just screw it on to be safe!

Probably best if you are not using it. I have remembered now the upstairs is still connected, I had the downstairs connection to have tv, which I later canceled. Then when my speed got upgraded I was sent a superhub which I fitted downstairs myself.

Here is where I have split our feed just like you want to do. Virgin also does an official splitter kit for home TV installs see below.
